Collection: LUMIERE (Christmas 2023)

For Léa Sfeir, Christmas is steeped in nostalgia—an ode to the golden age, to vintage charm, and to the warmth of countryside cottages. This collection is a reflection of that world, infused with timeless elegance and an appreciation for heritage.

Each plate, exclusively molded and hand-painted for ByLéaSfeir, is inspired by the delicate porcelain found in the most refined English countryside homes of the 1950s. The elongated glasses take their cue from the iconic Tsar Nicholas II Baccarat glasses, meticulously hand-painted and adorned with 18-carat gold rims, elevating each table setting to a moment of quiet grandeur.

Yet, when the Christmas 2023 collection was released, the world was in turmoil—torn apart by the tragedies of war in Ukraine and Gaza. It was in this darkness that Lumière found its meaning. More than a collection, it became a symbol—a reminder of our innate need, as humans, to seek and hold on to the light.

Simplicity and transparency defined this collection, a deliberate contrast to the opulence of traditional holiday décor. Instead of lavish floral arrangements, delicate candlelit Christmas tree holders stood in solemn elegance, casting flickering light—an homage to resilience, hope, and the enduring beauty that remains, even in the most uncertain times.
